Meet NH State Representative
Linda Tanner—
a Strong, Honest Voice

Linda Tanner is a strong voice for the people.

Representative Linda Tanner is committed to representing you and works to protect reproductive freedoms, defend LGBTQ+ rights, fund public education and preserve our natural resources.

A Lifetime of Public Education Dedication

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education from East Stroudsburg University (PA) and a Masters in Liberal Studies from Dartmouth College.

I retired from Kearsarge Regional High School, North Sutton, NH, where I taught Health and Physical Education, served as a Department Chair, and coached tennis for three decades.

After retiring from public education, I taught Wellness and First  Aid at Colby Sawyer College in Exercise and Sport Sciences, New London, NH.

Committed to Serving

After volunteering for a local representative, I decided to run for office. I am currently serving my fifth term in the NH House of Representatives where I serve on the Education Committee and as Senior Minority Advisor in the Democratic Caucus.

I have worked to assure that with public funding comes public accountability and access for all.

In Concord I will work for:

REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS: To make sure NH protects reproductive rights, contraception, and access to healthcare. It is not the legislature's place to decide for someone else whether or not they should become a parent.

ENERGY: To keep energy costs reasonable while moving towards clean energy to protect our environment, by investing in energy efficiency programs, renewable energy resources and supporting the move towards electric vehicles.

EDUCATION: I will hold the State to its responsibility to provide well-funded, quality education for the 160,000 students in our Public Education system. Public funds spent for education must have academic and fiscal accountability.

At Home in Sunapee

I serve on the Sunapee Budget Committee and the Sullivan County Executive Finance Committee.

I have been an active resident in Sunapee for over 40 years where I live with my wife Dee and rescue dog, Raven.

I continue to enjoy playing tennis, kayaking, and hiking with Raven.

A woman sits in a wooded area surrounded by pine trees and a blue body of water in the background. She is smiling. She is wearing a tan hat, sunglasses and an orange vest. Next to her a black dog with a green harness sits with its tongue slightly out.
